All files can have the extensions .TXT, .ANS, or .RIP... They will be
displayed to the user depending on their emulation. They MUST be located
in your GRAPHICS directory.
In addition, you may also replace the last character of the extension with
a number 1-9... Nexus will randomly choose between all files available for
that display. Example: MAIN.ANS, MAIN.AN1, MAIN.AN2 - Nexus will randomly
choose between these 3 files and display one of them. The use of the
RANDOM file feature requires the the root .ANS be present. i.e. if you wish
to use random files on MAIN, you MUST HAVE A MAIN.ANS present, or Nexus will
not search for random files and will FIND NO DISPLAYS AVAILABLE!
In addition, you may also replace the second (2nd) character of the extension
with a number 1-7 which represents the day of the week (Sunday-Saturday).
Nexus will display the files for this day if they exist.
AFTERUL Displayed to the user after an upload session is completed.
CALLLIMT LOGON: Displayed when the user has used all his/her calls.
CHATINIT Displayed before the Line by Line Chat Session starts.
CHATEND Displayed after the Line by Line Chat Session starts.
DLHOURS Displayed to user if they attempt to Download outside of
specified Downloading hours.
DOWNLOAD Displayed to a user if they are downloading or flagging a
file from a menu. This is NOT displayed if downloading or
flagging a file from the File Listing.
FILEINFO Displayed for the Your File Information menu command. There
is NO default display for this menu item, and nothing will
be displayed if this file does not exist.
GOAWAY USER PAGES SYSOP: Pages more than the allowable times.
LOCKHRS Displayed to a user if they logon outside of the allowable
hours for their baud rate.
LOGOFF Displayed in the D0 menu command after the question is asked.
MAXIMUM Displayed in the event (God forbid) that a system ever
reaches the maximum user count. (32767)
NEWSMENU Menu Display for News System.
NEWSx News Item; x=Item Number, no padding.
NEWUSER1 Displayed during the New User process.
NEWUSER2 Displayed during the New User process right before getting
the application message. This file is skipped if the
application message is turned off.
NONEWUSR Displayed if the system is not accepting new users or if
the user enters an incorrect New User password (if set).
NOSYSOP USER PAGES SYSOP: Sysop is NOT available for chat.
NOTMLEFT Displayed when the user has no time left.
PRDL Displayed when a user is shown the protocol choices for
downloading SINGLE files instead of the defaults.
PRFLAGDL Displayed when a user is shown the protocol choices for
downloading BATCH files instead of the defaults.
PRRESUME Displayed when a user is shown the protocol choices for
resuming the Upload of a file.
PRUL Displayed when a user is shown the protocol choices for
uploading instead of the defaults.
SYMHELP Displayed in SymSys when the user types ? or HELP.
SYSOPIN CHECK STATUS: Sysop is available for chat.
SYSOPOUT CHECK STATUS: Sysop is NOT available for chat.
SYSTEM Displayed after the version information in that menu cmd.
NOTE: A |PAUSE| MCI code is SUGGESTED as the first line of
the SYSTEM file, since a majority of the screen is taken up
by the version information. A |CLS| is also suggested after
the |PAUSE|.
TIMEDOUT Displayed when a user has not pressed a key for timedout.
TIMELIMT LOGON: Displayed when the user has used all his/her minutes.
ULACCESS Displayed if a user does not have access to this file base
for uploading.
UPLOAD Displayed before a user sends an upload. If file is not
present, Nexus will display default information regarding
FILE_ID.DIZ checking, etc.
